Welcome to Modelers Interchange!
As summer officially begins fresh air and warm weather beckons, but if the modeling posts on social media are any indicator you guys and gals are content to stay inside and play with trains. Interested in seeing some of that modeling for yourself? Well, you’re in luck!
Each week in The Modelers Interchange we pull together a collection of intriguing posts, images, videos and chatter about the various layouts our social media community members are creating. Below are five posts from the last seven days, displaying some innovative work that could inspire new techniques in your own modeling. Join the discussion by visiting our Instagram and Facebook pages today!

With Great Care
There’s an old saying that goes something like, “with great care comes great detailing ability.” Looking through the 10 photos posted by @brandonlepley1993 of his newly painted and weathered custom Sunrise Feed Mill kit reveals an incredible level of detail that any of us would envy.
Two for One
What’s more fun than watching a train? Seeing two at once of course! Christopher Blezek shared this shot as an Algoma Central freight eases past a CP run on his layout.
Lights, Camera, Action!
We asked folks to share their favorite freight train videos, and there have been some great ones rolling in. Check them out here!
Stand Three Feet Away
Very nice platform-view video shared by @jbos_trains here, with the P42 coming in hot, you’re going to want to give ample clearance. Well-shot, and some beautiful equipment in operation as well.
Poster @gianna_lynn_wrecking_co has been sharing some excellent photos of heavy machinery on the job these last few weeks – and from a look at her page the fleet is large enough to handle any job needing done! For the image shown here we had to look twice before deciding those were models, not prototypes.
We hope you enjoyed these and more discussions taking place on Walthers Facebook and Instagram pages. If you’re having difficulty seeing any of the stories above, you can click here to our new Modelers Interchange blog post and view them at Walthers.com.
Each week we’re witnessing some amazing modeling work on display, which is critical in these extraordinary times. Keep modeling and keep sharing. Your work is an inspiration to us and to others as well. And be sure to tag @Walthers or use the hashtag #Walthers for a chance to be featured!
