Central Suburban Passenger Co has awarded Transmashholding’s Demikhovsky factory a contract to supply seven 11-car EP2D 3 kV DC electric multiple-units by September.
They are to be used on REX-branded commuter services from Moscow Savyolovsky station to Savyolovo (130 km) and Dubna (132 km).
The interior will include seats covered in wear resistant materials, USB sockets, air-conditioning and air disinfection systems. The end cars will be equipped with foldable ramps.
