Today is Saturday the 11th of January, 2020.
I am doing an Update on the MRSI/ Merriwa Railway Station.

Recently a lot of work has been done on the goods shed.
Well done to all the Volunteers who have done all the work.
Some interesting info,
The Post Office opened in 1845
A school was opened in 1850
Holy Trinity Church was consecrated in 1855
By 1858 the town had 3 Inns and two Blacksmiths.
In 1888 the towns's first bank, the Australian Joint Stock Bank, opened.
