Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
Hello to all!!
i came across this site via Tom Johnson's Logansport and IN layout ,and being a fellow modelr decided to join.
I too am attempting to model the L&N /SCL/Family lines era in Indiana based mostly where i lived until my teens. 70's-mid 80's..
i got to see the transition from the L&N to the SCL/ Family lines. which would eventually be merged in the CSX. which was taking place around the time i left Indiana and moved to Central Florida in Jan of 85.. i have been having problems , scenery techniques, and problems settling on the "perfect "layout design... my layout consists of a 3 sided double shelf style layout with Helix's on each side. the attached picture is an old pic when i first started this current lay out. so far i have started ballasting the railyard. and i am open to suggestions to make it more realistic.
