The new VLine time table which comes into operation at the end of January significantly slows down train and train/bus services on the Maryborough line.
Another example of VLine's ability to spend billions of dollars and make the system go slower. The morning train out of Maryborough is now a further 14 minutes slower than what it was five years ago and the return journey of an evening is 12 minutes slower.
I have written to Chris Meddows-Taylor , Mayor of the Central Goldfields Shire Council to seek urgent representations with the Minister on this matter. Maryborough line residents have suffered replacement busses for this Ballarat Line upgrade and they now find out that their services are worse than they were before the upgrade.
