Washington DC– Amtrak is starting to plan a 13-million dollar project to electrify the NY-Albany Corridor, operating as an extension of the NEC. The same project will be rebuilding the Albany-Montreal line to allow for 90 mph speeds, and at least 4-5 round trips a day. Construction is expected to start on April 1, 2020. -Harrison
