So we'ved moved again... back to Toronto. For my Toronto friends up here please get in touch. So this is the Ontario South Central's 4th location but it just won't work in the current living arrangement. It doesn't mean i'm demoloting it though. Here it is leaning up against the wall behind the guitar amp. (The OSCR has always shared a space with a recording 'work station' studio).
And here is the last picture of the last location. I was hoping to make it 'the last run' but the crew must have bunked off for the weekend as the lights are off! Sorry bad lighting shot on an Android too....
Anyway, i've had another, simpler, layout in mind anyway set possibly in South Carolina. It will include shelving with a valance for the lighting and a framed diorama look i've been wanting to do.
I was originally thinking of the floating shelves. The IKEA 'Lack' series being one, stacked one on the other with a reasonable clearance of course. But now i'm thinking the FastTrack (good name) series from Home Depot like this here:
I like the uprights. Perfect for hanging a backdrop! Also other shelving options for storage below the layout.
Foamular base for the layout. And also this will further my skill set in the process. But I just went and bought code 83 flex.. damn..i'm modeling a branch line. So i'll be getting code 70..possibly 55 for the spurs and 'make it right' as Mike Holmes says.
Any other ideas are welcome. I'll post on the progress. Still getting settled here.
