Railpage has received reports a Pacific National Freight Train to Tocumwal has derailed near Katunga north of Shepparton. Currently the line north of Shepparton is blocked causing delays to other freight services.
A Tocumwal bound goods train, operated by Qube, has been terminated at Mooroopna near Shepparton which consists of locomotives G515, S313 with approximately 30 wagons.
V/Line passenger services to and from Shepparton are not affected.
This derailment is yet another in a long list of derailments which continue to plague the Victorian Rail Freight network, many say due to continued under-investment by the successive Victorian governments.
