Seymour Railway Heritage Centre invites you on a special vintage diesel haul heritage train tour to Geelong and enjoy a family day out at Pako Festa Festival on Saturday 29th February, 2020.
Travel to Pako Festa in our Heritage Train hauled by Blue and Gold heritage locomotives. Passengers will travel in comfortable 100 year old wooden bodied “E” class carriages together with former Spirit of Progress “S” class steel passenger carriages.
Your train will also include the magnificent Yarra Carriage which was built in 1906 and the recently restored State Carriage 4.
Passengers have the option to stay in Geelong or head out on our optional tour coach trip to Queenscliff.
A free shuttle bus to take you to Pako Festa or Geelong CBD.

Also available is a coach transfer to Queensciff where you can enjoy some time in the coastal town on the Bellarine Peninsula or one of our curated tours.
One of our curated tours (Queenscliff Railway & Lakers Siding) includes a railway journey, alongside Swan Bay and through remnant bush. Trains depart from Queenscliff at 12 noon and will stop at a section at Swan Bay for a photo opportunity prior to arriving at Lakers Siding where you will enjoy a mini tour of the rolling stock shed prior to your return to Queenscliff.

Pako Festa, is Geelong’s much loved free, annual community street festival - the biggest of its kind in Australia. It incorporates an extravagant street parade featuring around ninety floats and hundreds of performers representing forty-five affiliated ethnic communities and around sixty other community groups and organisations.
Pako Festa offers a unique opportunity to celebrate in an arena of ethnic diversity and harmony, as well as gaining an appreciation of the great variety of artistic and cultural. Expression within Geelong’s multicultural community.
The street will be lined with Stalls selling traditional foods, arts and Crafts. There will be six separate stages in the precinct offering performances of music and dance, as well as interactive workshops and exhibitions.
Sample over 20 local diverse cuisines, the smells and sounds will take you to another world Free entertainment for the entire family and, of course, the great Pako Festa parade with spectacular colours, movement and creativity from around the globe
A free shuttle bus will take you to/ from the Pako Festa upon arrival at Geelong.
