Passengers got stuck on an Airport Rail Link train as services were delayed for about one hour during evening rush hours on Monday.
A picture posted on the @js100radio Twitter account apparently by a passenger showed commuters were left in the dark with no lights and the air conditioning system did not work on a City Line train from Ratchaprarop heading to Suvarnabhumi airport around 6.30pm.
A woman posted on @AirportRailLink Facebook page complaining that officials on the train could not explain what happened. Some passengers passed out and others tried to pry the doors open for fresh air, she added.
Airport Rail Link tweeted at 6.12pm that there was a problem between Makkasan and Ramkamhaeng stations and warned passengers of a delay of about 30 minutes.
All stranded passengers on the train were evacuated to another train sent to pick them up at 7.09pm and the service returned to normal at 7.47pm, it added.
