The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made extensive changes in the alignments of Patna Metro Rail corridors (PMRC). From now the project to develop Golf Club Station in Corridor 1 of the Patna Metro Rail has been cancelled. Where Corridor 2, Premchandra Rangshala, NMCH, Kumara Park and Gandhi Setu Metro stations would not be developed. Now metro stations would be developed in Ramakrishna Nagar, Khemnikchak along with Jaganpura.
On Tuesday Bihar CM Nitish Kumar approved the fresh alignments of 32.12 km metro rail corridor proposed by Municipal Development and Housing Department as recommended by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The project cost would increase by Rs 179 cr after the change. There would be an entirety thirteen elevated and thirteen underground stations in the total metro project of Phase I according to the revised alignments.
In the Corridor-1, an elevated line would be built on Bailey Road from Danapur Kendriya Vidyalaya-Sagunamod and Bellerod Digha-AIIMS Road Canal. Where on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg the underground line from Gola Road would be up till Patna Junction through Mithapur bypass.
