Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
This morning I had some time to make a 3D model of my train area in Fusion 360. Shown are some constricting factors, including the door to the shop room, a couple support poles, and the treadmill.
I want to model Rouses Point on one side of the layout. and Plattsburgh on the other, but I need to do some more track planning to see if this is possible without having a spaghetti bowl.
Then I decided to add a feature I’ve been pondering for the last few days, a second level over the staging yard.
I want to make this some sort of industrial line, either a paper mill (like Georgia Pacific or International) or the PARC line. I know the PARC line has some issues as far as era goes, but I am thinking of doing a sort of time warp, where the main layout is set in the 70’s and the upper switching area level would be the present day. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. -Harrison
