A man will face court today, charged over an alleged indecent act on a train in Sydney’s inner west yesterday.
About 3.10pm (Thursday 12 March 2020), a 14-year-old girl boarded a citybound train at Strathfield Railway station.
A man approached the girl and began speaking to her.
Witnesses intervened after noticing the girl seemed uncomfortable, before allegedly seeing that the man had exposed himself and was committing a sexual act.
Officers from South Sydney Area Command met the train at Redfern Railway Station where the 50-year-old man was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station.
He was charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent.
The man was refused bail and will face Central Local Court today (Friday 13 March 2020).
