AN ANGRY commuter ripped apart the chairs in a Sydney train and stacked them and blocked off the stairwell.
A man posted a photo of the destruction on the Katoomba to Sydney train on Facebook after witnessing the carnage on Tuesday night about 10.30pm.
“Just a usual night, finished work, go upstairs on the train and then … OK apparently not sitting upstairs,” passenger Steve Mateer posted on Facebook.
He told Nine News he had never experienced this kind of vandalism before but admitted the seats were easy to pull apart.
Police are scouring CCTV footage in an attempt to capture the vandals. As there is no footage on the Katoomba to Sydney train, police will investigate CCTV footage from platforms to identify the destructive commuters.
