Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
You may have to hunt for Easter eggs this weekend, but you won’t have to look far to find some fantastic model railroading being done. Click on the links below to see some of the work shared by your fellow modelers. Find more inspiration and share your own projects by following our social media pages.
NMRBO in N Scale
The Walthers National Model Railroad Build-Off 2021 features an all-new open category where modelers can enter scenes built in N, HO, or O scales. DJ Arlia is already far along on his N scale scene. Follow photos and videos of his progress @djstrains. Learn more about this year’s contest at http://www.walthers.com/nmrbo21.
Break Time!
In between deliveries the workers at this warehouse take a load off. John C-Fly Hinson carefully arranged figures, vehicles and interior details to create this vignette on his model railroad.
Mainline Motel
With a trackside Starbucks in close proximity, this quaint motel should prove a popular getaway for railfans. Poster @twinlakeswesternHO built and painted the Walthers Cornerstone structure.
N Scale Triple Track
Featuring an engine terminal with a roundhouse and turntable as its signature scene, Michael Peltier’s N scale layout is off to a great start. He built the benchwork using two 4 x 8-foot sheets of plywood on tables.
Decapod Thunder
We can almost feel the ground shake and smell the cinders as two Pennsylvania RR class I1sa Decapods thunder out of Allentown with a coal drag in tow. Poster @ho_trains_on_the_floor shot this video of the Pennsy 2-10-0 steamers working the HO scale main at the Lehigh & Keystone Valley Model Railroad Museum.
We hope you enjoy these scenes and discussions as much as we enjoy bringing them to you!
