The bussing cities of Punjab invited a huge risk of accidents. In fact, if there is no mishap, then it means that luck is nice to them. Many places in Punjab witnessed, Dussehracelebrations right on the railway tracks welcoming horrific tragedies.
The railway tracks on the Dhuri Line in Ludhiana, invited a huge crowd with the Vijay-Dashmi celebrations on Friday evening, where a train passed between the crowd gathered for celebrating Dussehra. When the train passed, the effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhkaran were yet to be lit and can be seen standing by the side of the track.
Similarly, in Sangrur, Dusshera is celebrated about 50 metres away from the railway line. At Mansa, Ravan Dahan is held near the railway track. At Moga, the Dussehra celebrations are held at the stadium ground, close to the railway line and people spilling over to the tracks to watch the fireworks is very common.
