The Overland has been an icon of Australia and gets passengers between Adelaide and Melbourne without this service other modes of transport will not be able to cope with the amount of passengers the cancelled services would have taken and also the passengers who are unable to get up stairs on Buses would be forced to fly which is at most times more expensive then the train.
The Overland is booked out at times and I can't see how passenger number are low and the people who prefer to travel by train will be the ones who will be biggest ones affected by the cancelled service if anything the train should go back to a night service which is more what passengers want.
Help try to save the train by signing the position and show the SA government that it has support as I great icon of Australia
