SCT Logistics has documented its first train between Melbourne and Brisbane via Wodonga in a short documentary, which it hopes will help boost the reputation of rail on Australia’s East Coast.
The five-minute video shows the process SCT had to undertake to operate the new service, which delivers goods to and from its new facility in Bromelton in the Scenic Rim Region of southern Queensland, about 55 kilometres south of the centre of Brisbane.
Announced in December 2015, the Bromelton site was ready for its first delivery on January 23 this year.
SCT said the $30 million, 130-hectare facility was built to kick-start the “long-awaited” Bromelton industrial estate.
