The agreement with Shell Canada involves installation of Quasar Lenz sensors, as well as full access to the Quasar platform, to perform visualizations, mapping and analytics.
“Our solution design strategy for Shell Sulphur starts with using the Quasar platform to capture real-time GPS location data,” explained Quasar General Manager Corrie Banks. “The insights gathered from the real-time data will give Shell Sulphur visibility and control over administrative issues, rail network system challenges, and dwell across the network, as well as track GHG emissions and further qualify opportunities to reduce costs and increase cycle time.”
Cando Rail Services describes Quasar as “an end-to-end supply chain visibility platform that combines real-time tracking with powerful data and analytics to optimize supply chain performance. With Quasar’s cloud-enabled data, insights and analytics, users can identify opportunities and make informed decisions to improve operations and reduce costs, making the supply chain more fluid, reliable and efficient.”
