J515 Updates from the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre
Rare Arnott's biscuit van restored
70000 Britannia will be on the mainline once again as it hauls a railtour from Crewe to Carlisle.
The locomotive is hauling ‘The Lakelander’ via Preston.
Departing Crewe at 07:47, the train will head through Hartford (08:05), Warrington Bank Quay (08:22), Wigan North Western (09:01), Preston (09:23), Lancaster (10:41), Oxenholme Lake District (11:01), Tebay (11:47), Penrith North Lakes (12:09), and Carlisle at 12:33.
After 4 hours in Carlisle, the locomotive will go back to Crewe a different way to the morning. It will depart at 16:33, and will pass throguh Dalston (16:49), Maryport (17:24), Whitehaven (17:47), St Bees (17:57), Sellafield (18:11), Bootle (18:43), Foxfield (19:03), Ulverston (19:30), Arnside (19:49), Lancaster (21:10), Preston (21:54), Wigan North Western (22:27), Warrington Bank Quay (22:44), Acton Bridge (22:57), Hartford (23:01), and Crewe at 23:21.
