Your new Jolimont/MCG tram stop
Preliminary site works will begin 2 weeks prior to the major works. These works are required to prepare the areas on the sides of the track for the upgraded platform stop. There will be minimal impacts during this time. Priority will be given to performing works overnight in order to minimise disruption.
Major works
Major works will commence after the last tram on Friday 19 July and finish before the first tram service early on Tuesday 24 July. The works will take place in the tram stop reserve area of Sydney Road, as well as the Brunswick Road and Park Street intersections. Stop 19 will be closed during these major works.

Route 19 services will be affected.
Route 19 tram services will be affected from Saturday 21 July to Monday 23 July 2018. For more details closer to the time, please visit yarratrams.com.au/servicechanges Replacement buses will be in place to allow passengers to continue their journey on Tram Route 19 during the closure of Stop 19.
Motorists
There will be lane closures during these works At these times, traffic will move through the area under traffic management.
Noise and dust
The noisiest work will occur during the day, however there may be a need to conduct noisy work outside these hours to ensure that the majorwork is completed by Tuesday 24 July.p>

Local Community
Access to shops and local facilities will be maintained during the works. Yarra Trams encourages you to allow some extra time when moving around the area while work is being done. As this work is necessary to maintain a safe tram network as required by the Rail Safety Act 2006 (Vic), Yarra Trams will not compensate any third parties for any losses incurred during the project.
