A man has died after being struck by a train on the Sunbury this morning.
The male pedestrian was hit by the outbound train sometime before 11.15am.
It is not known how the man got onto the tracks between the Albion station and the Ginifer station.
The male is yet to be formally identified.

Metro and V/Line services on the Sunbury line have been stopped in both directions until further notice.
Police, paramedics and SES are on the scene.
