Sydney rail commuters experienced major delays last night with crowds stuck at two stations unable to socially distance following a fatality that stopped trains on several major routes for four hours.
Passengers were stranded at Strathfield and Parramatta stations as peak-hour chaos extended into the evening, with people queued up along the street outside stations and crowded on platforms six hours after the delays began.
One commuter tweeted: “The train delays due to a fatality on the western line are understandable.
