The proposed rail link to Glasgow Airport will fail to accomplish its intentions as presently conceived. Certainly, it will be attractive to those living south of the river but its appeal will be small for the many on the north bank. Connections through Central low level station for any particular route are too infrequent and indirect.
Instead, take the link as presently proposed and extend it across the
River Cart to join the disused track-bed of the former line to
Renfrew. Just north of the town centre in Renfrew swing eastward and
run through Braehead until just west of King George V Dock, then turn
