Rail owner rejects Alice safety concerns
A woman in Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory, has died after being hit by a freight train overnight.
A crime scene has been established at the rail line, which runs parallel with the Stuart Highway, just south of the Alice Springs township.
It is believed the woman was walking across the tracks. She died at the scene.
