We are pleased to announce our Climate Change Forum: ‘Rescue Rail’ will be held on Tuesday 20th May, 2008, at the Coffs Harbour Ex-Services Club (Vernon Street) commencing promptly at 6:30 p.m. (Registration 5:30-6:30 pm)
Rail expert, Professor Philip Laird & Greens MP Lee Rhiannon will be joined by regional planning specialist Cr James Ryan and Ecologist, Mark Graham to present strategies to reinvigorate the Sydney to Brisbane rail freight and passenger system, protect our biodiversity & promote sustainable planning for the Mid North and North Coast of NSW

Junee is celebrating its rail history and artistic talent with a festival to be held 7-9 March 2008. 3 LVR motors, vintage 1928 (Tin Hares) will arrive from Cowra on Friday, 7 March and will ferry passengers to and from Wagga throughout Saturday, then to Cootamundra on Sunday.
We are also seeking permits to run the "Mark Twain Boree Creek Express" hosted by Tim Fischer on Saturday 8 March.
There will be tours of the Junee Signal Box and a concert at the Junee Roundhouse Railway Workshops.

The Workshops Rail Museum (Ipswich, Queensland) is seeking objects and photos associated with the Great pioneer and tourist railways of Australia for possible inclusion in a major new touring exhibition with the working title Great Railway Journeys of Australia.

MAJOR construction works on the $130 million upgrade of the Ballarat line for the Fast Rail project have been completed.

WANTED - 777 Dwarfs -should that be "dwarves"? Why? Because "the" 7 dwarfs persons small of stature, were reported as being industrious in given application to tasks - so 777 ought to constitute a work force of some note. Why not? Probably anti-discrimination legislation forbids restriction of such a category in labour application. So - "WANTED - Willing Workers!!!
