Funding for the Plant Biosecurity Research Initiative (PBRI) has been renewed in 2020, the International Year of Plant Health, which will strengthen coordination across the Australian plant industry sector on biosecurity research, according to minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency Management, David Littleproud.

The Andrews Labor Government’s $600 million Mernda Rail Extension is six months ahead of schedule, with the first test trains to Mernda to be running by the end of September.
