Well we are back to normal sightings this week with 108 for the week making 810 sightings for the year to date. We had 28 sightings on the B/G, the biggest lash ups being two trains with 5 locos, the best lash up being Tuesday's 9123 with G524+A85+GM36(CR)+A70(VLP)+T320(VR).
We have had a total of 121 sightings for this week making a total of 702 sightings for the year to date. Well all good things have to come to an end, and they did at 0617 on Friday. That's when we had the last Melb - Geelong B/G train diverted via Gheringhap & Ballarat, it was 9441 with N+T+T.
Another good week of sightings with all the B/G diverted trains; we are four trains down on last week, which is not bad seeing that we have only had one S/G grain train for the week whereas last week we saw 21 S/G grain trains.
After suddenly painting five Ps in about six months, triggering rumours that they had committed to getting rid of the orange livery by the end of 2003, VLP have surprised me by leaving P18 in V/Line livery. It was at Dudley Street Carriage Maintenance Depot this morning (8/1/04).
