A Victorian Man who fell asleep on a South Australian Railway Line yesterday woke to find a train above him.
The Man 20, fell asleep between tracks at Port Augusta, forcing a train driver to pull the emergency brake about 3:40AM.

A stop work meeting has been cancelled, meaning that Adelaide train services will operate normally from the Gawler depot tomorrow.
Drivers had planned a four-hour stop work meeting to discuss pay and conditions.

The Outer Harbor and Grange train lines will be closed on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 & Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 January 2008 for track maintenance. Substitute buses will be provided during this time as below:

HUMAN error was partly to blame for an Adelaide passenger train passing through a stop signal last year, putting it on a collision course with the Indian Pacific.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau today issued its findings after an investigation into the incident.

OWNERS of the controversial Penola Pulp Mill yesterday signed a $70 million deal to transport 750,000 tonnes of pulp a year via Port Adelaide.
The agreement will also include a major upgrade to the South East rail-line, despite the pulp mill yet to receive final approval by Parliament.
It is expected to create about 100 new rail and port jobs.
Mill operator Protavia had originally planned to take the pulp - destined for South Korea, China and Europe - to Portland or Port Melbourne.

The Ghan passenger train has collided with a semitrailer north of Adelaide, the company that operates the train says.
The train, which was due to arrive in Adelaide at 1.10pm local time, hit the truck shortly before midday (12.30am Sydney time) at a crossing near Two Wells, about 20 kilometres north of Adelaide.

The collision was on the Two Wells to Mallala Road.
Great Southern Railway reports there are no injuries to passengers on the train.
