The lines of demic locos at Healey Mills.
Victims of locos that worked out of the box and needed much less maintenance plus declining freight levels in the UK.
All 3 of the front locos are still alive in 2020. Two working and one a parts donor.
37688 (the ex 37205), was sold to Direct Rail Services later in 2005, and went on to a 10 year life as a DRS working loco 2007 to 2017.
Sold to D05 Preservation Ltd on 0802/2017, it is on long term lease to Locomotive Services Limited, Crewe and still active on the mainline 😊
37517 (the ex 37018) was sold 21/12/2007 to WCRC - West Coast Railway Company, Carnforth (where it is a Xmas tree).
56124 was sold to Fastline, overhauled and renumbered to 56302.
With the demise of Fastline, it was bought by Colas and is still active 😊
