17.53: 16061 is already uncoupled from its terminated stock and shut down, waiting for its light engine move out to the sidings.
The BB16000 Class were built by MTE - Le Matériel de Traction Électrique between 1958 and 1963.
They were steadily retired from about 2008 as their work swapped over to EMUs with the last 4 retired together on 31 December 2012.
16061 was delivered to SNCF on 26 April 1964 and was officially withdrawn a few weeks before this photo on 1 June 2011. It obviously had a short repreive (maybe to bring stock in from the sidings until finally switched off).
Very little is known when SNCF actually scrap these locos ☹, so I just have this noted as "Probably scrapped since".
