On another atrocious day for weather, Goodwin-built ALCo 4524 and Clyde-built EMD branchliner 4908 rest between duties at Parkes in western New South Wales.
The occasion was the visit of Gresley A3 'Flying Scotsman' as it took a breather from its Antipodean wandering, in this case a run from Melbourne to Alice Springs.
