BAM 1 (formerly Sleeping Car No.8 built in 1884 by Gilbert Bush & Co. of New York USA) stored at Broadmeadow Loco Depot. The carriage was also originally named 'Lady Parkes' & was used on the commissioner's train. Transferred to special stock in 1907 & coded AAH 8. In 1933 it was converted to an observation car & coded BAM 1. Withdrawn from revenue service in 1955 & converted to a Way & Works crew van & given the number L44, although still referred to as BAM 1. Condemned in 1976.
