I imagine someone in rosters teed the all nose ahead combination of GM42/931/T407/T405, but from memory there weren't many others chasing it that day.
The train was no.1745 the Sunday afternoon broad gauge goods from Adelaide to Mount Gambier, photographed on 26 June 1993 at Fosters Corner, Belair.
GM42 was one of only two GMs to operate on broad gauge and is one of the few surviving today (April 2015).
The T class locos were two of five that had recently been purchased by Australian National from Victoria's V/Line operation for use in alleviating power shortages at the time, later being renumbered CK5 and CK3. Both remain in narrow gauge service at Whyalla.
