ALCos 845/835 look they they are drifting in off the Cambrai line into the yard at Apamurra, South Australia on Saturday 16 December 1989.
But appearances can be deceptive, the line beyoned Apmurra to Cambrai having been closed over two years earlier.
It is in fact just a shunt move as the locos prepare their shorter than normal rake of 10 hoppers of barley for return to the junction at Monarto South.
Normally the train would head out to Apamurra in the morning, load during the day and head back in the evening. On this particular Saturday industrial action had seen these 10 hoppers stranded for a day or two so the train headed straight back.
