Various locomotives are seen stabled around the eighty-five foot diameter electric turntable at Ararat, 130 miles west of Melbourne.
From left to right we have Y-156, Australian National Railways 942, Y-148, T-347, T-379 and T-358.
Ararat loco depot has since been closed and the turntable is now fenced off to stop people falling into the pit. 12:43pm, Saturday the 29th of October, 1983.
