X51 (online, but not powering) leads X50, X52, 48114 (dead attached) and 4886 (dead attached) towards Bargo with 3128 empty Caltex fuel from Bomen. Included in the consist was a single empty Shell fuel tanker from Cootamundra loco.
This was the final run of a fuel train between Sydney and Bomen, with the Caltex wagons placed into storage not long after. Shell Australia continued to operate fuel trains for another two months, finishing up operations to West Tamworth, Dubbo and Canberra by January 2010. X50 would have the dubious honour of working the final empty fuel train in NSW, running from Canberra on the 16th of January.
