Triple ALCos 946/954/957 roll through North Adelaide with no.6722 overnight goods form Mount Gambier on 24 October 1987.
The leading wagons carry River Red Gum sleepers that have probably come from Loxton and been attached to the train at Tailem Bend.
The photo was taken from the embankment that now supports a six lane road over the railway at this location. Cars can be seen in the background queuing at what at the time passed for the crossing.
