Australian National ALCo World 963 waits at Nuriootpa with the Adelaide bound 'Stonie' as 961 arrives with the 'The Explorer' excursion train on 9 March 1994.
This was a private charter to Nuriootpa and was the penultimate working of short-lived 'Explorer' experiment.
From memory these were the last two active 930s in service by this time and only two local enthusiast were out chasing this day.
Both locos still survive, although 963 is unlikely to ever run again. 961 is currently located at Goulburn, NSW, in a semi-restored state.
