The same trio as in the previous image are seen two days earlier. 48162/48149/48161 depart Werris Creek, New South Wales, with loaded containers loaded with export cotton, early on the morning of 14 August 1991.
The DL531 was the most numerous single diesel locomotive model delivered to Australian rail systems, with 165 supplied to the New South Wales Government Railways, 44 to the South Australian Railways and 3 to the Silverton Tramway. All were built under licence by AE Goodwin of Sydney. Less than half the original number remain in service.
