    8609 waits to be made into tuna cans

    8609 stored at the state mine Lithgow on 6-2-17 awaiting scrapping.

    Built in 1983 for State Rail Authority of New South Wales 8609 was withdrawn in the mid late 1990s and then saw some work on rail trains for Railcorp while owned by Silverton Rail. El Zorro aquired the loco and when they went into receivership the loco was stored at Lithgow until scrapped only months after this photo was taken
