where is the track that came from the merry hill shopping centre in England and what is happening with it at the moment?
There's 2 monorails here, 1 at Seaworld (using tracks and trains originally from Expo 88 IIRC) and one at Broadbeach, linking The Oasis centre with Jupiters casino. There was talk of extending the Broadbeach one long ago, but none lately. At one stage they looked at putting in a stop at the new Convention Centre, and there has long been plans to extend it to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, but none has eventuated. The Seaworld Monorail was opened in 1986, it was certainly not the Expo System. I do believe one train is from the Expo '88 system though, don't know where the others and track ended up.
Incidentally, the southern terminus of the new Gold Coast Light Rail (stage 1) is just after the line goes under the monorail, so hopefully a photo opportunity in the not too distant future.

You will find some Merry Hill equipment near the monorail depot, one carriage has been added to each train to make it 5 cars a piece. Unsure as to where the other track and trains are, someone did mention to me something about monorail equipment being placed in shipping containers in the Gold Coast, but who knows where all the parts are.

Is it compatible? Or would it be like trying to run a V-set in Brisbane.Broadbeach is a MkIII monorail as is the Sydney System. Both are compatible systems, so it wouldn't surprise me if Broadbeach got something out of the Sydney one.
well what has happened with the monorail extension to pacific fair and where is the most likely location for the merry hill parts to be located and where is the maintenance depot on the line? You would have to enquire with the owners of the Monorail as to the current state of affairs re the extension.
