I'm looking for a photo and ID of a NSWGR locomotive that ran on one of the colliery railway of Newcastle Coal Company .It was involved in a fatality in 1883 and was no 19.
I dont have any of my reference books and websurfing has been no help.
It will probably be found in the locomotive data sheets 1974 if anyone has it handy.

Tezza,

Data Sheets Page 3 lists 19 as an E17 class 0-6-0 tender type. There is no mention of it being sold out of Government service. In service 9.1866 Withdrawn 1892 and scrapped 12.06.1906. No 18 at Trainworks is the same type.

Yes you are right with the loco not being sold, the NSWGR just took over the running of the line around 1882.
Loco 19 was involved in the first fatal accident after the handover
