Newly installed camera at South Melbourne overlooking Albert Park Lake.  It covers of course the Grand Prix circuit and also the Golf Course.

This is a new type of camera we are trialling although this installation will be permanent.

I have setup a website which (similar to Bunbury Street) will refresh a new image every 60 seconds. Just a bit of fun. Hope you enjoy!

I am thinking this would be better as a PTZ installation!

When I get some time we will send an image every sixty seconds to create a daily time-lapse.

I guess that we are now awaiting an announcement that a new railway line will be built through the scene, and thus the camera will track the construction (would be an interesting time-lapse) before trains actually start running.

Ted's Christmas present would not be welcomed by the citizens of that area I suspect - they howl about 4 days noise from the GP as it is, years of railway construction would really get them going.

The home of Australia's formula 1 Grand Prix.  I have established a timelapse for the circuit. So over the next few months we should see some action with the circuit being established.

All live webcam and railcam services are free and available to Melbourne Wireless connected sites.  This includes various cameras around the network including all railcams operated by Railpage. You can stay connected all day if you wish.

It is only $50.00 per year to be a member of Melbourne Wireless.  If you PM me I can point you in the right direction and perhaps even assist in a connection to the school.

Whilst watching the weather channel on foxtel i noticed the camera at http://kkicam.mw.org.au being shown on the channel in the last week!  Sky weather channel showed a timelapse of the melbourne weather during the weather round-up.

is it possible to get a live feed of this camera and the http://hvccam.mw.org.au via the Railpage site now that you guys are back up and running?

Very little.  A script retrieves the image from the camera and places it into a directory which is then referenced by a webpage.

Various changes at Melbourne Wireless have lead to the hvc cam being moved to Geelong.  Now online updated every 60 seconds.
