That's a typo with the loco - it's actually 4503. Presently it's hitched up with a mouldy-looking 48 & DL42.

In the last few days, one of the Port Kembla ghosts (one of the three derelict X class rail tractors, the best of the three) has become part of this ill-assorted ragtag lashup.

Maybe a set of Roy Orbison style glasses painted around the front glass would improve the appearance of the loco.
Must be like driving around in a glasshouse on wheels.

Word has it that 4503 is Kangaroo Edward, and therefore probably destined for Sims'; if that is the case, hopefully after any reusable parts are removed for sister locos. There's a couple more running out there besides 4520, isn't there? Confused

Luke, if you're willing to head as far south as Bombo, might I suggest visiting Berry? It's a quaint little town with a nice little station, and the added benefit of getting the staff exchange between the freighters and the station staff. The staff there have always been friendly whenever I've visited.

Posting a separate post as it has nothing to do with the one above...

FL220 ran light engine today from Yennora to Goulburn.

Both Qube trip trains between Yennora and Port Botany were observed with 14/MZ Class. 1429 was on T288, although I didn't catch the loco number of T281.

X54 operated 1253 solo to Glenlee.

4112 from Carrington arrived behind VL353/1434/1108.

The Indian Pacific left Sydney behind NR25 and DL39.

Gday Trent, That is an Idea, I may consider it for the future, when I am on my future travels, One thing that would prevent me from doing this, And that is, That the trains are few and far between to get back
