Yeah, it's an odd one. Insert a few line breaks before the {/quote} tag and it works a treat.
michaelgreenhill

That is what I ended up doing MGH. Thanks!

Seems to happen when the quoted post has a URL in it...

Forgive me, Brian, for using your post as an example:

http://www.railpage.com.au/f-p1888740.htm#1888740

I don't see why we need to have the quote and the pretty box - If it were me, I'd be keeping the box.

Incidentally, you can manage your TRNs (watched threads) from within Your Account
michaelgreenhill

Thanks for that, it does show me that all threads are being watched - but still not spitting out TRNs.

I don't believe it should be anything to do with my using FF as my default, coz the TRN is irrelevant to whatever browser I decide to open the link in - provided I get one in the first place!

Something weird going on. I use multiple devices to access RP, my phone (WP8 ), my tablet (Android 4.2), multiple PCs at home (Win 7) possibly multiple PCs at work (Win XP). Now when I log out of any of these and log on to another posts that I had read on another device used show as read on the current device. Not any more...
Graham4405

Further to this, the issue doesn't seem to be just when using different devices. Even when only using one device the "Your last visit was on" date is usually incorrect, sometimes several visits earlier. I always log out when I leave the site.

When clicking links on the site I sometimes get random popups with a message like: The page at www .Railpage .com .au says: 0

Google Chrome Version 32.0.1700.107 m on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Edit: I had to space before the dots above to stop it changing the URL. I can't seem to stop it from capitalising the R.

The popup has been fixed in dev code. Waiting for completion of a few more features before we push live.

Due to personal circumstances I might not be around much to work on Railpage for the next month or so.

It's not important in the scheme of things but in the top right hand corner, I have a red number 1 in the top right hand corner, with the message:

yet when I go to my inbox, it is empty. Maybe a glitch, but as I said, it isn't all important. Just thought I'd bring it up as there may be others with the same sort of issue.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening with my account? Confused

Yeah that was a bit odd!

In any case, look after yourself and hope everything is OK. Very Happy

The "RRL Project - West Werribee / Southern Cross" thread in the Victorian forum is doing this to me.

Attempts to insert a hyperlink in a quick reply post using the "Insert a link" button doesn't appear to work (firefox 27.0.1).

(Well, it did then, but occasionally it plays up: see http://www.railpage.com.au/f-p1885913.htm#1885913)

(Edit for a second attempt - perhaps it is problematic only for external links?)

Trying to rename a thread does not work. the change can be made and saved but does not update.

Something strange for comment. The "Who's online" at bottom of forums page no longer shows me as "online" but if I log out I appear and still there when logged back on but next visit no name appears. I normally remain as "logged in" between visits.

Edit. Checked this morning and all seems to be good.

It happened again now when I posted a new reply on the Hitachi thread

That tends to happen when it's a global bug.

My drought of TRNs appears to be nearly at an end.

What dropped into the box of in-ness today is almost everything I'm subscribed to, that has had some activity therein.

You are not alone getting that it shows an extra page at times and when you click on the last page you get that message or one similar anyway. It seems to be widespread though and disappears and reappears in different places all over the board at random intervals! Most frustating at the best of times though!

Videos on Flickr (example here: http://www.railpage.com.au/f-p1897750.htm#1897750) don't show up as videos either in the thread or the Gallery link. There is no indication that there is a video until you click the Flickr link on the Gallery page (http://www.railpage.com.au/flickr/photo/12911431993), it just looks like a photo. I only looked for a video on this one because of the thread title.
