This place was part was on a suburban line.
"Spion_Kop"

Can you try that again, or do you mean "was part was" as written?
  Spion_Kop Station Master

Sorry try again.

The place i'm thinking of was part of a suburban main line.
It became a siding in later life.

Thanks Spion_Kop Smile

Has to be.

Not long after H. V. McKay set up his Sunshine Harvester Works at Braybrook Junction 107yrs ago, apparently local residents petitioned for a name change.

Over to you, duttonbay Smile

Apologies all. I've been on the road for the last two or three days, with little internet access. That situation will continue for another few days, so even if I posted a question I would not be able to respond in a timely manner.  I am happy accept open floor.

I am a pedestrian overpass located between two stations.
It's a long way to the next one.

Between Gardner and Tooronga at Edgar Street?

That's not the one I'm thinking of.
Actually this pedestrian bridge's closest "neighbour" is on a branch line - I forgot about that one, but it's still over five kilometres away.

After six months with no guesses I think it's time to give up and declare open floor.
The answer was the newish pedestrian bridge to Box Hill Cemetery near Middleborough Road and Laburnum station.

This station's down platform got a second exit in 2013, and recently got a third one (probably this year) which is in a good spot.
The station's up platform has two entrances - it's probably been like that for decades.

The answer to the previous question was Brighton Beach.

Torrens5022 is correct, it is Essendon, with the road in question being Buckley street. Also apologies Gauntlet for not answering your question, it looked like a follow up to your answer.
  torrens5022 Junior Train Controller

I am a distinct locality within a suburb that has no less then five stations only a handful or so kilometres from the city.

Northcote?
  torrens5022 Junior Train Controller

Northcote is the right suburb, this a distinct locality within that suburb.
So not Northcote
