    The notice does NOT say Shrike are insolvent. It says ASIC may (stress only may) deregister the company in 2 months. The info at http://asic.gov.au/for-business/closing-your-company/deregistration/asic-initiated-deregistration-of-company/ explains why these notices are  issued. s601AB is the culprit specified in the notice, easy to narrow down the 2 possible causes are forgot to pay yearly fee or forgot to return a required form.

    I think this topic of shrike and insolvent can for now end here. Until CONCRETE fcts are presented the issue dies now. No more posts please.

    about 6.00 pm on 7th Feb. No announced news yet, and I did send off a reminder that his own deadline had passed. Obviously Geoff may not be able to control this as their is a third party between all of us, and Geoff's Shrike.

    It's CNY. If the models aren't on the water already (and let's face it if they were that would be publicized) they won't be on the water for at least two to three weeks. If the models are not yet complete they won't be getting any more complete for at least the same period of time.

    That's not having a go at anyone, it's just a statement of fact on how Chinese production works (or more accurately - doesn't work) this time of the year.

    I sense a bit of disinformation in some previous posts.

    Please give Geoff a break.  I am sure he will tell us what is happening when he is able too.  I don't know what the business issue is.  We will have to wait and see.

    The C30T models have already been advised as following Ixion's C32, so we cannot expect delivery until much later in the year.

    The post was up in FaceBook, and I see Bill has seen it now for the others Geoffrey tells us he has been in trouble, but not as some have thought. Its a health issue which has finally caught up with him, making day to day management extremely difficult.

    I refuse to pray, or accept that my or anyone else's prayers are going to help (that's what evidence based science and medicine are for), but wish him well nonetheless and hope the situ improves towards a positive outcome.

    Aaron, your privelege not to pray, but for those who do, especially if they have more believe in a living God than a lot of non evidenced science, & after all Geoff asked for prayer anyway.  I see it as a very humble ask from someone I think can be trusted to ensure the 30T's arrrive.

    At least give him a break, as he has tried to be more open than some of the others especially the heavy weights we still wait on.

    Ixion to release Shrike Models’ HO scale 30T



    Ixion Model Railways Australia Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that, having come to an agreement with the new owner of the tooling, the Shrike Models HO scale NSWGR 30T Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive will now be manufactured and released as an Ixion model.



    The release of the 30T will follow the Ixion Models HO scale NSWGR 32 Class, and the production run of the 30T will commence once we have sufficient income from sales of the C32 to fund the production run.



    Due to rising production costs in China, and the fall in the US dollar against the Australian dollar, it will not be possible to honour Shrike Models' advertised prices for the 30T post-release; the price will rise. We are in negotiations with the factory on current production costs. More information about the new prices will be released once those negotiations have been concluded.



    Ixion Models looks forward to adding the 30T to our range of locomotive models, as a clear demonstration of our commitment to modellers of Australian railways.

    Now that was surprising news. Interesting. Now we all know ( and I had no idea ) Suppose it's still early to know all details, as
    I would think both the  old Shrike models and ixion are still working it all out as well.

Payments made to Shrike Models are a contract with them, not with Ixion Models, but as modellers and manufacturers we understand the problem. We are in negotiations with the factory, and in discussion with one another; I will post more information here, and on Facebook etc when we have it.
    I believe that people who know our reputations will be satisfied with that answer. That's all the comment I can make on this matter, for now.

    Ixion Models - Lindsay . I think you mean a6et in your last post .

    So you are doing the shrike models NSW loco .

    But not the SAR  Rx class model .

    I take that shrike models will not be doing the Rx class then .

    Which only means that the money has to be returned to the Rx class customers .

    It might be nice if something could be said that the Rx class customers money is safe and will be returned .


    It will only hurt the hobby as a whole with pre sales in the future if these people's money goes missing .

    Generally speaking of course, if I was an unsecured creditor to a company who had come to an agreement to 'sell' its assets to another company, but that the other company could only go into production upon the income of another project, I'd be 'watching developments' with interest as well. Especially, as quite rightly pointed out, you don't have a contract with the other company...

    However in this case according to advertising in AMRM, the 6 wheel 30T arrived in June 2015.

    Shrike has posted to their facebook tonight. The Rx may indeed live on.
