  Bevan Wall Deputy Commissioner

Twenty years ago this month National Rail began introducing their new NR class locos on the Melbourne to Sydney/Brisbane intermodal trains. Around Exeter On a sunny Saturday February 22nd, 1997 we were treated to what for many of us was our first the sight of a number of these shiny new locos lashed up with whatever old motive power the company could get their hands on. here are a few scenes from that memorable day.
