It is about a third of the way from Gilmore to Batlow.
It is indeed.

I walked a good part of the line from there to Batlow in the late 1980s/early 1990s, probably not long after the Mountain High Railway ceased operations. I remember getting a filthy look from some woman who lived near the horseshoe curve and thinking stuff you, its not yours!
I walked up the track for a fair distance as it slowly climbed higher up the side of the valley until I came to a dense thicket of something like bamboo which I was not game to try and force a way through given it was early summer and I had reservations about what might be occupying it. The Mountain High Railway had replaced a few sleepers on the line and they told me that it was not unusual to hit a sleeper with a pick to drag it out and find a snake came out from underneath it.
The next day I walked down from near Batlow to the other side of the same thicket. There is a second very tight horseshoe curve up near the top of the climb.
